Timion Devices Supporting Special Needs

Timion is a non-profit organisation based in the Eastern Cape which designs and builds assistive devices for children with severe to profound disabilities, graciously donated equipment to some of the children participating in Siyakwazi’s therapy programme earlier this year.

The team have been busy over the last month with the distribution of these devices which include standing frames, posture chairs, benches and tables as well as stimulation boxes. 16 children from Siyakwazi received devices which were distributed according to the various needs. These devices add to what is issued through government-based channels at the local clinics or hospitals and will go a long way to enhancing each child’s development, including critical positioning, when used in conjunction with their therapy programme.

A special Thank you to the team at Timion for their support in this programme and their commitment to supporting access for children with disabilities.
